ExAT is a secure, validated framework solution for Microsoft® Excel, which adheres to the FDA’s rules for 21 CFR Part 11 and the Safeguards Rule of the GLB Act to provide compliance. ExAT provides customers with an integrated solution, that enables them to securely Audit Trail their Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets.

The security within ExAT has been designed to follow the Microsoft® Windows model, thus reducing Total Cost of Ownership. ExAT was developed using standard SDLC methodology and all the documentation created, is available under confidentiality.

• A brief description of some of the features of ExAT are listed below:
• Audit Trail any changes made to Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets on a Cell level or a Session level
• Changes made cannot be saved without Authentication and providing a Reason for Change
• The Audit Trail is immutable. It records Date of change, Time of change, Reason for Change, Old value of cell, New value of cell and Username amongst other configurable fields
• For validation purposes, changes made by an Administrator are also audited
• Administrators can customize a template for each Group, Department or User based on the security settings required within the various units in your organization
• Standardize your environment by creating ExAT templates and distributing them. All Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets can be enabled within your environment
• Stores Audit Trail information, history of changes, Username and reasons for Change within the spreadsheet, thereby making it completely portable
• Completely integrated with the Microsoft® Windows security model. Uses Microsoft® Windows Domain/Active Directory Authentication for security, thus reducing TCO
• Additional use of Digital Signatures can be configured to secure the spreadsheet
• Can be enabled in English, German, French and Italian
• Windows® Explorer view within ExAT is available to view, sort, search and print the Audit Trail
• Additional PKI and Biometric technologies to validate Users can be added, based on your security requirements
• Export your spreadsheet to HTML, TXT or RTF format
• Import information from older spreadsheets and make them 21 CFR Part 11 and GLB compliant
• Future release includes support for Oracle and Microsoft® SQL
